To base various terrain features and to make bases for larger figures I had to create hex templates that fit well on the Heroscape hex tiles. I've made available for download two of my template sheets. You can simply print these out at 100%, lightly spray mount them to thick illustration board (I use double weight board) and then carefully cut them out with a sharp xacto knife and a metal ruler. Afterwards you can peel off the printed template and use it again. Due to the differences in printers I'd do a quick test to make sure your printouts match the Heroscape hexes first before spending the time cutting out the thick board.
